About
Since 1974, the Montana Film Office has been assisting features, TV shows, commercials, documentaries, still shoots and music videos.
As you're aware, Montana does have beautiful mountains, but we're also known for many diverse looks: badlands, wheat fields that stretch into the horizon, ghost towns, pristine mountain lakes and winding rivers dot the landscape of our state. Not only that, but we also have a very talented and hard-working crew base willing to travel all over the state to make sure your production is a success.
As part of the Montana Promotions Division, the Montana Film Office is funded by 4% of the statutorily appropriated 7% lodging facility use tax (the “bed tax”).
