Alex Batista was born in Sao Paulo in 1985. Specialising in portrait photography, his work is marked by lightness and a delicate look that can be seen in his editorial essays and advertising photography.

Alex began his career as an assistant working for top Brazilian photographers Gustavo Zylberstajn and Marcio Simnch, before proceeding to assist Danish photographer Steen Sundland. In 2010, he started shooting on his own.

In the early years of his career, he worked with marquee Brazilian clients such as O Boticário, Natura and C&A and contributed to magazines including GQ Brasil, Playboy Brasil, Trip and TPM.

In 2012, Alex shot his first two assignments for Nike with global soccer superstar Neymar Jr. - his first international work with global media.

Thomas Susemihl was born in Sao Paulo and has been interested in photography since the age of 14. He began his first experiments in black and white darkroom laboratories, taking pictures of people in action. He later spent five years studying in Germany at the Bayerische Staatslehranstalt Photografie fur Munchen school of photography.

After a few years working as a photographer for an advertising agency, Thomas decided to move back to Brazil in 1981 and has since worked for major fashion and commercial clients. He was pioneer in the implementation of digital format photography in Brazil and in recent years has focused on video research.

Jonne Roriz, based in Sao Paulo, has been a professional photographer for more than 18 years. He specialises in sports, underwater productions, portraits, reportage, travel, corporate and industrial photography. He has over 30 national and international awards to his credit, and his work has been published by major news organisations, corporate and advertising industry clients. What's more, Jonne combines the speed of journalism and advertising creativity at the service of good photography.

He has covered every major sporting event worldwide including the Athens Olympic Games 2004, Beijing 2008 and London 2012, Germany World Cup 2006 and South África 2010, the Pan American Games in Dominican Republic 2003, Rio 2007 and Guadalajara 2011.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Josefina Bietti, is a fashion photographer now working and living between São Paulo and Bs. As. After studying film and graduating from Universidad del Cine in Bs. As, she worked for a short period of time assisting photographers.

Currently, she is working on her own, shooting for a variety of clients and magazines such as Carmim (Br), Avon (Br), Via Marte (Br), Dryzun (Br), Joulik (Br), Ginebra (Bs As), Mes and Sage (Ar), De la Ostia (Ar), Rie (Ar), Ritmo (Ar), L’Officiel (Br), Vogue (Br), Vip (Br), Isto E (Br), Catalogue (Ar), Remix (Ar) among others.

With over 25 years of professional experience, Bete Vieira now occupies a prominent place in the production of beauty hair photography. She has done significant work in various areas of photography, and also edited art books.

In the last decade she has won recognition as one of the best and most experienced Brazilian hair photographers. She currently produces photos for advertising campaigns and product packages for more than 50 Brazilian hair cosmetic companies.

Looking back on 2013 from the hammock in his São Paulo studio, Ricardo de Vicq is more than content with the fruits of his labour. He is very proud to have taken part in Ogilvy Brazil’s press advertisement that won a Golden Lion at Cannes. He also has been awarded for his work featured in Graphis Advertising Annual 2014.

Some of Ricardo's Fine-Art work is also in print in the Graphis Photography Annual 2014 and online at the 8th Black&White Spider Awards site. In the latter part of 2013, his work was shown in two group exhibitions in the USA: Los Angeles and Vermont.

He is now eagerly waiting to make 2014 full of new challenges, experiences and creativity; "something that’s fun to let find its own, boundless way," he says.

Gal Oppido has collaborated with Vogue Brazil and Casa Vogue for the past 11 years and lectures at MAM Museum of Modern Art São Paulo. Katia Kuwabara's collaboration with UOL - Universo OnLine across architecture and interiors and has been recognised by the Institute of Architects of Brazil and the Secretary of Culture of the São Paulo Government.

Recent work includes Nike SejaMax, Tiffany & Co., Fendi, Cristalino Lodge and Folha de SPaulo.

Rodrigo Rosenthal left the safety of a Law degree behind to become a photographer. Having assisted great photographers both in his home town of São Paulo, where he is currently based, and New York, and having studied at the International Center of Photography, Rodrigo is a versatile shooter who delivers precise and powerful images both in the studio or on location.

His love of light transcribes into many different types of photography, be it portraiture, music, or corporate imagery.

Rodrigo shoots for a range of clients, including The Symphonic Orchestra of São Paulo - Osesp, Marie Claire, and 11Freunde (Germany), among others.

Independent São Paulo-based photographer Toni Pires shoots across editorial, documentary and experimental photography, portraiture, fashion and other categories related to human personalities.

He has also worked in New York and Madrid. Toni’s photography has its own unique style reflecting his personality. His experience in the field and capacity to understand other cultures makes any project an easy-going task.

His achievement so far is striking. He has been featured in various international publications and has become one of the youngest contemporary photographers to gain international representation.

Gabriel Wickbold is a 29 year-old photographer from São Paulo. He has worked in numerous artistic genres including poetry and music, and studied television broadcasting. Gabriel has no formal education in photography, but believes that “photographic technique is so basic that what truly makes the difference is feeling and composition.”
