  • We Buy Gold. A collective exhibition bringing together primarily emerging LGBTQ+ artists living and working in Canada. The exhibition foregrounds the perspectives of younger queer generations. Largely using various forms of portraiture, but also still life and sculptural elements, these artists are concerned less with representing queerness and more with performing, challenging, and interrogating it. Until 6th November at Gallery TPW, Toronto.
  • Breaking the Frame showcases many accomplished artists of the 19th and 20th centuries – from Malick Sidibé and Florence Henri to Lang Jingshan, Ansel Adams, Diane Arbus, Henry Fox Talbot, Robert Frank, and Dorothea Lange – who have helped shape photography, offering a global perspective on the medium that pushes our understanding beyond the conventional. Until 22nd January 2022 at Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto.
