Nicole Franco is an award-winning and internationally published documentary and commercial photographer. She is a California native who has spent the last six years working in Mexico.

Conveniently based in Mexico City, Nicole and has travelled extensively throughout the country capturing its dynamic landscapes and culture through the narratives shared by individuals and communities.

Clients include National Geographic, Microsoft, ESPN, El Jimador Tequila, Driscoll’s, and People en Español Magazine.

The images featured in this Showcase are from the series 'Charros', a personal fine art project about Charreada. As one of Mexico’s most cherished sports, it is also a clear expression of its heritage. “And while these images portray a cultural statement of courage, struggle and power they also attempt to impress the aesthetic, poetic movement, and beauty within the horsemanship.”
