Summer Season in South Africa seems to be going longer each year. April-May is one of the best times of year to visit South Africa whether for photo production or for holidays: The light is not as harsh nor the wind as strong as during peak summer, there are less tourists to contend with and the days are a bit shorter - meaning that for golden hour chasers, a 4am start and 9pm wrap is not necessary.
Steel clients look set to make the most of this with a busy few months ahead, but the team have already enjoyed a summer working on some great projects:
- Ted Baker SS18 with Great Northern Locations shot by Niko Mitrunen, Andrew Urwin and Ana Cuba, DOP’s - Curtis Taylor and Kristian Young.
- Virgin Atlantic– shot by Matt Hind.
- British Vogue – shot by Venetia Scott.
- Huawei print and TVC with Picture Farm London, shot and directed by Christopher Anderson, DOP - Fernando Gayeksy.
- Abilify shot and directed by George Logan of Horton Stephens, DOP - Eoin McLoughlin.
- Airbnb stills by Kent Andreasen and motion by Steve Glashier.
- White Stuff – with Raw Production, shot by Lee Whittaker.
- Cubus shot by Dusan Reljin, DOP – Casey Shoalwater.
