Remko Kraaijeveld is one of the leading food photographers in the Netherlands and has been fascinated by food from the beginning of his career. Its structure, its succulence, its graphic forms - food as visual poetry.

His use of light, whether daylight or studio, is pure and simple, in which lies also the complexity, as there is nothing to hide from.

Remko is known to sink his teeth deep into his subject, never losing his personal signature. His rugged images have a 'less is more' approach, allowing the food always to be the protagonist.

In recent years also started to capture the people behind the food he photographs, resulting in a growing list of portrait photos.

He has won numerous awards for many of his cookbooks and works for magazines, restaurants and advertising agencies all over the world.
