"Taste can be seen! For more than 20 years as a food photographer, I have been playing with the senses and have created delicious photographs for prominent clients across the food and advertising industries."
Kai Schwabe's work includes recipe photography and recipe development, food and drink photography, food films and packaging as well as other promotional materials. Together with an experienced team of food stylists and other professionals, Kai is able to combine sophisticated craft with artistic aesthetics and the latest trends.
Located in Bremen, his 470 m² daylight studio can produce images up to 100 megapixels. Thanks to comprehensive artificial and film lighting equipment, the team can place every delicacy in its proper light including high-resolution effects and slow-motion shots. The spacious loft studio also offers room for a generously equipped show kitchen, where food professionals will find everything their heart - and their food - desires!
Featured in this Spotlight is a variety of vegan food plates, with special attention on some avocado dishes, supplemented with some delicious non-vegan highlights.

Together with my well-rehearsed team of food stylists and other professionals, I combine sophisticated craft with artistic aesthetics and the latest trends.
A 470m² large daylight studio in Bremen offers ample opportunities for this. Here, we can take photos with up to 100 megapixels and, thanks to our comprehensive artificial and film lighting equipment, can situate every delicacy in the proper light - including high-resolution effects and pleasurable slow-motion shots.
The spacious loft studio also offers room for a generously equipped show kitchen. This is where cooking professionals find everything their hearts and their food desires, in addition to extensive cooling and deep-freeze logistics to store ample amounts of food and keep it fresh. Props of more than 50,000 pieces of cutlery, tableware and glasses perfectly set the scene for food and drink."

Kai Schwabe has focused on his passion for food for two decades. He and his team consistently work on personal shoots to find new visual languages.
From his studio, Kai has worked for both national and international agencies including Ogilvy & Mather Dusseldorf, BrawandtRieken, Dragon Rouge Paris, Crispin Porter + Bogusky London, Serviceplan, Cyclos Design, studio elfenbein, bultmann, and more.
Kai has just photographed a food calendar for a European franchise group, some shots of sausages for a food manufacturer along with some key visuals for a German trade chain.

Kai Schwabe has focused on his passion for food for two decades. He and his team consistently work on personal shoots to find new visual languages.
From his studio, Kai has worked for both national and international clients including Mondelez D A UK, JDE, Senseo, Rama, Miracle Whip, Unilever NL, Lidl and Philadelphia.
Kai has just photographed a small gourmet section with his team. It was important for him to have a clear, clean light guide so that the food could shine. White plates with food were, at the beginning of upscale food photography, quite popular. Kai has now mixed this with contemporary light and background.

Kai Schwabe has a passion for food photography. In August 2015 he moved to his 470m² daylight loft studio, located in the 1950s industrial site of the former Borgward car factory. Near central Bremen, the studio is close to motorways and the airport and features ample parking.
Kai is constantly involved in national and international projects for clients including Villeroy & Boch, BelVita, JDE (Jacobs Douwe Egberts DE, Professional Services) and Rama.
He is currently working on a campaign for Miracel Whip, a top product of Mondelez International.
Look out for Kai's upcoming feature in Production Paradise showing the results of his recent collaboration with the Amsterdam agency Alfred International for a Dutch food concern.

Latest national and international projects include shoots for Nordsee's current campaigns, variations of coffee recipes for JDE (Jacobs Douwe Egberts DE, Professional Services), and the summer campaign plus key visual for one of Mondelez International's top product 'Miracel Whip'. Kai is currently working for Villeroy & Boch.
