Artists Group has been very busy over the past couple of months with a number of car productions that have made the most out of Portugal's wonderful locations.

One of CheckTheGate's films was recently nominated for a FICTS Award (Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs). 'Sport Movies and TV' is the worldwide final of the 14-stage international circuit 'World FICTS Challenge'.

The film 'Together We Shall Win' was commissioned by a subsidiary of the Angolan oil company Sonangol to be aired before CAN2010 (the African football championships). As the first TV commercial from young director Tiago Carvalho, the film was produced by CheckTheGate Portugal for advertising agency AFRO, based in Luanda and Porto.

CheckTheGate will soon open a branch in Oporto to take advantage of the city's wonderful locations and the company's excellent relationship with the local authorities.

Travelling Films & Productions recently worked on a campaign for Amour Chocolate shot on location in Portugal through agency Euro RSCG Kiev, Ukraine. The production company was Toy Pictures, with executive producer Ricardo Leitão. Gleb Orlov directed, with Jean Louis Vialard as DOP.

Production Services Portugal handled the Hyundai commercial for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. After six days of shooting, the big final scene included more than 1,200 extras, dancers and music and was shot in Lisbon's central square.

In this TVC, soccer fever travelled around the world to locations including Australia, the UK, Morocco, Brazil, Spain and many other countries. All these landscapes were cloned in Lisbon.

Different moods were also the challenge for a corporate film for Ericsson. Countryside, skate parks, hospitals, beaches, artist studios and the business district were all included in this four-day shoot.
