Julian Parkinson Toronto photographers

Born and raised in Manchester, England, Julian grew up to a backdrop of BMX, skateboarding and snowboarding and became one of Europe’s first snowboard photographers through the 80s/90s, photographing rise of snowboarding with images in magazines such as British Vogue, GQ and FHM.

After a long 'diversion' running his award-winning design agency, Julian and his family relocated to Canada in 2011 where he built a reputation for photographing architecture, catching the eye of Santiago Calatrava which catapulted his photography career to new heights.

Julian was invited to shoot a project for Audi Magazine featuring one of Canada’s most influential residential architects, Omar Gandhi, from that day he was hooked on automotive photography.

Authenticity is at the heart of his photographic style, with a tasteful amount of production value to make it special, and if a project has a mix of car and architecture, he gets very excited about those possibilities.

Julian is equally at home filming and directing motion and has shot content for Kawasaki, Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, Samsung, Sportchek, and more.
