"What an absolute joy to see Cape Town back and busier than ever with much needed relief to many crew and suppliers post pandemic.

Hoops welcomed back long-time friends and clients FatFace for their 'Dive In' campaign with a team of Wavemakers who have turned their passion for water and conservation into a lifestyle.

Hoops dream client, GO Outdoors, took us to locations that we love to hang out between shoots anyway with bouldering in the iconic Rocklands, stand-up paddleboarding the inland waterways, hiking in coastal plains and through British like countryside, right to the top mountain peaks. We were even lucky enough to hit the slopes in New Zealand this winter, for the launch of their new ski-wear brand.

With Ellesse Sports we got to hit the fairways and courts for golf, tennis and padel and Hip-Hop style streetwear brand Avirex took us to some American style locations with some ultra-hip models and cars.

Season 22/23 has been amazing, bring on season 23/24!

Despite multiple waves of pandemic mania, Hoops managed to punch through a pretty epic season of great fun and adventure with some outdoor and fashion brands. UK megastore GO Outdoors brought never ending adventure from mountain tops for core gear, to the city for active wear, to greener pastures for active leisure’ to camping and glamping and finally to the beach, including above and below the waves.

Iconic sports fashion brand Ellesse saw the team heading through various sports arenas, graphic and colourful urban locations, beautiful beaches and a middle of nowhere cracked earth desert pan. Hoops saw epic scale and graphic lines in a huge working harbour with Nautica Competition. Keeping with the ocean theme, the team stepped it up a notch into Mediterranean style marinas and open ocean sailing, ending up on a sublime luxury house boat on a serene lagoon with Nautica.

"What a crazy 12 months it’s been, the best season ever followed by a global pandemic that almost broke the planet, but we are still spinning and orbiting the sun, life must go on as best we can and we remain positive that South Africa will enjoy another busy season ahead; we are ready!

Hoops had another awesome season during which we got to work with great friends and regular clients as well as a diverse range of new brands, from being helicoptered to never shot before peaks with the Swiss team from SportXX Migros, to high fashion in the city for the iconic and colourful Ellesse, to sailing yachts with Nautica Competition, to beautifully shot lifestyle for Beurer, to a whirlwind series of films for Signia Hearing, and much much more.

''Every so often Hoops gets asked to produce somewhere else in the world, this season was no exception with two adventures up North with our good friends at Go Outdoors and photographer Justin Badenhorst. In July we travelled to Iceland with its black volcanic beaches, impossibly green vegetation and out of this world rock formations carved by centuries of ice flow. 

Keeping the epic theme we headed to Switzerland in September, shooting skiwear on the spectacular Matterhon Glacier in Zermatt, postcard picturesque perfect!

We were tourists in our own backyard with Tourlane, shooting on top of Table Mountain, The V&A Waterfront and at various wine farms, followed by a road trip through Knysna to shoot the beautiful Garden Route and all its offerings.

• A dream campaign for The African Cup Of Nations 2019 tournament with the team from So Design shot by photographer and all round nice guy Charles Emerson.
• The Fat Face family were with us again for their High Summer campaign with the incredible one-stop-shop team at creative agency The One Off.
• Twenty Four Seven Jeans with Avraham Advertising was an absolute whirlwind experience that left Cape Town reeling in its wake! Shot by Alon Shafransky and directed by Andy Abzah.
