Emily Miller Productions is an all-encompassing production house, working across the board and around the world. EMP brings together teams of inspiring and intrepid photographers, directors, talent and crew to create innovative campaigns. In operation since 1999, The Blackwell Files is a much loved and well-respected San Francisco talent casting agency. "I was born in a town called Orkanger in Norway, the land of the northern lights and long winters. This is the place from where I draw a lot of my inspiration, with incredibly dramatic and striking scenery. It has a special landscape that evokes the legends and fairytale stories I grew up with, tales of moody and mystical Nordic environments brimming with depictions of trolls, princesses and nature.

"After four years of study I was restless, and curiosity about the world drew me out on a year-long trip to discover and explore distant corners of the globe. Eventually, this led me to Brazil. The human warmth and sensuality of its culture and people had an immense impact on me, and I made it my home for a two and a half years. This experience taught me a great deal about myself and became a huge inspiration for my work. There, I learned Portuguese, encountered very passionate people and discovered my own passion for photography. After living in Brazil, I realised I could never live in a cold place again, and the drive to pursue photography led me to San Francisco, a magnificent city to go to live and study. This was in 1995 and I still live and work here.

"After graduating in photography from the Academy of Art University, I assisted various photographers and started pursuing stock and commercial work. In the past decade I have created high-end image collections for stock, with clients including Gilead, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Macy’s, AT&T and Warner Bros, and my work has appeared in prestigious photo publications such as Communication Arts, PDN, Graphis, APA Shows, and Graphic Design USA. Once a year, the northern winds call upon me and I go back home and visit Norway, to feel the Scandinavian sea breeze and see the midnight sun."

French photographer Bernard Andre graduated with a Masters Degree in Arts from the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1991. He relocated to San Francisco Bay 19 years ago.

Bernard's studio is located in the heart of Silicon Valley and as a result he works for many high tech and bio tech companies, including Cisco, HP, Pixar, Exelixis, Genentech, RMS, Amgen, Kaiser Hospitals and PAMF, as well as many universities such as Stanford, UCSF, UCSC and Berkeley.

Bernard's vision, combined with his lighting techniques, render a unique impression of the third dimension. His images give the viewer the ability to feel like they are living both the scene and the moment. His work has appeared in Sunset Magazine, Architect and Business Week, as well as many annual reports and catalogues. He has also shot for Hilton, Sheraton Hotels and Holiday Inn, and feels fortunate to have been able to build such great relationships with all his clients.

Distinct in both style and technique, San Francisco-based photographer Mark Holthusen is best known for creating images that push the boundaries of traditional photography. His award-winning work has been lauded by Communication Arts, Graphis, American Photography and PDN. Mark has also been recognised in Lürzer's Archive 200 Best Ad Photographers of 2008/09 and was awarded the Lucie Award as international photographer of the year in advertising.

Merging digital ingenuity, refined talent and a boundless imagination, Mark's images consistently embrace an elegant, painterly atmosphere. He continues to create challenging editorial and advertising projects for clients such as Honda, Napster, Microsoft, Quest, Target and HBO.

Still life and product photographer Rob Prideaux specialises in witty anti-examples, cautionary tales, and glamorising the grotesque as well as the beautiful.

Rob is interested in artifice, contrivance, exaggeration, heroic objects, technical challenges, new techniques and new ideas. His clients have included Venables, Bell & Partners, The Junior Statesmen of America and Wells Fargo Bank.

Rod McLean is a commercial and editorial photographer based in San Francisco. He photographs action, sports, adventure, active lifestyle and location photography.

Commercially, Rod works with a broad range of clients; everything from health care, athletic equipment, active lifestyle apparel, to motor-sports companies and the US Army. He also has an extensive list of editorial clients with whom he shoots on a regular basis.

Paul Dyer is a commercial photographer specialising in architecture, interiors, home and hospitality. Among other assignments, Paul has recently been shooting for California hotel chain Joie de Vivre. He is based in San Francisco and has been shooting here and around the country for over 10 years.

Paul's style lends itself to creating clean, inviting images of both residential and resort locations.  His calm nature puts people at ease, allowing for relaxed, natural lifestyle photos.
