The Asociación de Fotógrafos Profesionales de España - AFPE (Professional Photographers Association of Spain) was founded in 1984. Its mission is to promote excellence and provide quality services to its members as well as defend the collective interests of professional photographers.
Some of the most acclaimed photographers are long-standing members of the AFPE, as well as young up-coming talent.
The AFPE organises events such as the 'Reencuentros', which are open to the entire photographic community to discuss matters related to professional photography.
The AFPE promotes the work of its members, represents their interests, and informs agencies, government bodies and the general public about the cultural importance of photography.
This aim is reflected prominently through the LUX Professional Photography Awards, which in 2017 celebrates its 25th anniversary. Visit the 'Find a Photographer' page to find a photographer for your next production.
