Puria Safary's works aim to capture that certain something about a person, that special moment, the unmistakable quality of a personality. It is often just a tiny emotion, a feeling, a mood that Puria Safary tries to emphasize. The Berliner by choice grew up in Aachen, surrounded by Persian culture. His move to Berlin was formative for him and his art. There he found the freedom to realize himself. His photography is influenced by great role models such as Bruce Weber and Peter Lindbergh. They inspired him to work on his own black and white style. Puria has his own very charming home studio in Berlin, where he likes to invite his artists.
