Tamboly is a professional photographer and art director who has been credited with several awards for his outstanding contributions to the world of photography. Over the years, photography has become more of a lifestyle for him and not just a profession. His areas of expertise are conceptual photography, people/portrait photography, architecture and travel photography.

From 2009 Tamboly started working for several music magazines, including Metal Hammer and Rolling Stone, and photographed a variety of rock stars, among them Billy Idol, Alice Cooper, Papa Roach, The Boss Hoss, Iron Maiden, W.A.S.P. and The Beatsteaks.

Besides being a member of the Association of Photographers in London, Tamboly has been a member of the jury for the Graphis Awards in New York and One Eyeland Annual Awards in India.

Tamboly is ranked in place 10 by Lürzer's Archive in Germany and ranked as one of the best photographers in Germany by Blickfang. Tamboly is among this years’ victors at the 2019 Media Innovator Awards and has been awarded with Best Architectural & Fine Art Photographer 2019 - Germany.

Specialised in portrait, travel and architecture, over the last two years - and aside from his career as an advertising photographer - Tamboly has earned over 50 international prizes and honorable mentions.

He made it as a finalist at the Hasselblad Masters Awards, Felix Schoeller Prize and was shortlisted at the Sony World Photography Awards in 2015.

Moreover, he earned the title 'International Photographer of the Year' from different institutions in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Since 2014, he has been named as one of the '200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide' by Luerzer's Archive.

In February, his work was exhibited at the India Arch Dialogue. Aside from his artistic background, Tamboly is especially successful with his commercial jobs, having hit the road over more than 150 days last year.

Clients include NatGeoPeople, Sony Music, O2 World, Airbnb, Zalando SE, Zeit, Continental Clothing, Axel Springer AG, Brigitte and Dr. Oetker.

He collaborated with Natgeo People in 2015 and his project 'Eve's Glory' was aired on the NatGeo People TV channel.
