"I enjoy shooting people with the aim of capturing the origin of what makes the subject noteworthy and interesting. A portrait is not just a close-up. There is more to be told in their stories - that is where the lifestyle comes in. Researching and understanding my subjects helps capture a meaningful narrative. I have taken this formula into filmmaking, and this can be seen in my latest film for Black Betty Jewellery, entitled "A story about her." The film was recently selected for La Jolla Fashion Film Festival."
