Michal grew up in Prague, former Czechoslovakia.  For the past 30 years he has built a successful career as an advertising photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Michal Venera grew up in Prague, then Communist Czechoslovakia. He opened his photography studio in the San Francisco Bay Area around 25 years ago and has been fortunate to establish a very successful commercial and advertising photography career with a diverse set of clients.

His recent projects include still life, product and lifestyle work with Wells Fargo, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, Republic of Tea and Samuel Hubbard, among others. Michal is an intrepid world traveller and always has his camera at hand.

He splits his time with his family between a converted 120-year old tug boat docked in Sausalito, a small seaside town just across from San Francisco, and a 36-acre olive ranch in West Marin where he does most of his work when not on location.
