His work goes beyond commercial intent, landing in publications like Vogue, Rolling Stone, Wired and Forbes.
This past month he shot campaigns for No Reception Club and a new start up Jessica Laura. For No Reception Club, the shoot took place by the water in downtown Vancouver, bringing a narrative of travel and family to life, all while battling Vancouver’s temperamental weather. With Jessica Laura the goal was to evoke simple luxury in a sun soaked apartment.
When Alex isn't busy taking photos for clients, he's off capturing his own adventures. Check out this collection, featuring some snaps from his recent bike trip across Washington.

"I try to get outside a lot. Bike rides, hikes, kayak trips; just put me in nature and I’m happy. I’ve shot outdoor campaigns and lookbooks for brands like Arcteryx, Tilley Endurables, Section 35, and Kit and Ace.
But aside from the drama and action, one of my favourite parts of any adventure is the in between moments, friends hanging out, cooking food, waiting for boats, or being completely wiped after an epic climb. When we let our guard down and just revel in the moment. Easy to overlook but often the parts that are most remembered.
Like on a kayak trip last summer, catching fresh crabs for dinner, and while distracted by the delicious food sharing my beer with a local slug. Or on another trip, camping by possibly the buggiest lake ever, we had to drink through our mosquito nets as they’d go for any exposed skin. The sports are great, but at the end of the day, but its nothing without the people you share it with."

Clinton Hussey
Vancouver
Clinton Hussey is an award-winning commercial photographer specialising in conceptual, food, still life and, recently, motion. Since 1995, he has been creating distinctive editorial and advertising imagery for brand and magazine clients in his hometown of Vancouver and abroad.
Originally a design student at Vancouver’s Emily Carr College of Art & Design, Clinton stumbled into photography at first accidentally and then with conviction as he fell for its demanding mix of creativity and technical grasp—an intense relationship he recognised from watching his father, a musician, repair his instruments with surgical skill. Though not a musician himself, Clinton has earned both Grammy and Juno nominations for his album cover designs; his photography has won multiple National Magazine Awards, as well as honours from Lotus, Applied Arts, D&AD, City & Regional Magazine Association, the Printing Industry of America, Communication Arts, PDN/Nikon, and many others.
Today, Clinton is expanding into video, creating ad campaigns for clients such as A&W, Heinz, Sleeman and McDonalds. When he is not making pictures, he is building things, and spending time on the ocean and in the mountains with his wife, Amanda—also a photographer—and their two children.
