Katja Haecker
Film Directors
Katja Haecker is a creative nomad - a definition that doesn’t only apply to where she works, but also to the hybrid nature of her profile.
A New York-based, well-traveled and German-born creative, she enjoys journeying from her 360º career in creative direction for luxury brands to scriptwriting and film direction.
After over 20 years crafting campaigns for the beauty, jewellery, fashion, fragrance, and automobile markets all over the world, she finally decided in 2015 to fulfill her love of storytelling by filming her ideas and scripts. She also enrolled in cinematography and screenwriting courses at the London Film Academy.
From commercials to documentaries and fiction, Haecker’s filmography now includes several films for jewellery clients as well as ‘Endless Me,’ a one-of-a-kind ‘beauty meets David Lynch’ fashion short, and ‘Laps of Honor,’ featuring German car-racer and collector Herbert Engel. An achievement for Haecker’s unconditional passion for cars, ‘Laps of Honor’ has received warm accolades from the male-dominated motoring industry with a nomination for best documentary short at the International Motor Film Awards in London in 2022, and the award for best documentary short at the Grand Motoring Festival 2022 in South Carolina (Hilton Head Island).
Driven, experienced and focused, she has a distinctive aesthetic and artistically-trained eye which always brings out beauty and emotion in all her creative and film direction projects.
