"This image was shot for the Bayer Corporation’s Agriculture Division. Honestly, this shot wasn’t even on the original shot list. We were shooting on top of those silos. I finished that shot and had just walked down. As I looked up to say something to my assistant, I instantly saw the shot. I got our model in position right away. It took less than five minutes and we went on our way. That is why you always have to keep your eyes open!"

Andy Mahr is a Texas-based photographer specialising in industrial photography. Andy's work has regularly been featured in the Communication Arts Photo Annual, PDN and One Eyeland, and he has been nominated as one of Archive Magazine's '200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide' several times.
As an industrial photographer Andy likes to capture images that involve real world situations, with real people doing real jobs. He prefers to keep staged shots to a minimum and likes to immerse himself into the environment with the workers. He loves the gritty, hard working tenacity that his industrial subjects demonstrate and that is strongly characterised in his work.
Andy began his career as an art director. Coming from the advertising world, he has a unique understanding of the creative process and a real appreciation of what creatives go through to bring their ideas to light.
His industrial clients include Statoil, Gates International, RAM Trucks, Timberland Pro Series, Lowes Home Improvement, Pavecon, Bayer, PG&E, Barrick Gold, Phytogen, and the United States Marine Corp.

Always focused on conquering the immediate task at hand, whether as a spotlighted young musician or a risk-taking, technical street skateboarder, Matt Hawthorne would be found in his young adulthood pushing the limits to perfecting his skill.
Eventually, Matt moved his concentration from making images his sponsors sought of him to honing his methods of capturing fast paced action images - by shooting his friends skating.
He found a love for the art form, and his unique style with polished imagery quickly drew attention, projecting him into the start of a successful career. Shooting advertising campaigns now for over 10 years, Matt has developed an incredible crew.

While away from commercial assignments and the studio, he is found spending time with his wife, building legos with his son, shooting fun polaroids of his children, and cycling.
