CJ Benninger is a Detroit-based advertising and editorial photographer specialising in portraits, automotive and product work.
He began his photographic journey when he was a junior in high school, photographing live bands, which he has now been doing for 20 years. After continuing his education in photography, CJ began assisting before eventually gaining his own clients, forging a shooting career of his own.
CJ prides himself in working with both clients and subjects to create beautiful images on location or in studio using his strong sense of composition and technical skills.
Some of his clients include Campbell-Ewald, Leo Burnett, Organic and McCann Erikson, shooting for brands such as Dodge, Jeep, Ford, Delphi, Kimberly Clark, General Snus and 4Web Medical.

The work shown in this Spotlight is pulled from multiple stories spanning three continents, like the passionate video game community of Lagos, Nigeria, refugees trying to relocated to the Metro Detroit region, everyday life in Beijing, China, and the Flint-born boxer, Claressa Shields, fighting in one of Detroit's most historic venues.
Nick’s ultimate goal is to make people feel seen and heard by synthesising their stories into honest photography.

Aaron Geller, originally from Northwest Ohio, is a Midwestern photographer working between Detroit and Chicago specialising in fitness, lifestyle, and portraiture.
After completing a degree in French literature, Aaron flew to NYC and had the opportunity to intern under beauty and fashion photographer Sarah Silver. Aaron then spent time travelling Western Europe and the Middle East capturing the heart of the people through his portraits and working at an art gallery in Tel Aviv.
Since establishing himself in west Michigan, Aaron now operates a full time commercial studio and has developed a list of clients including local and national companies. In recent years, he has simplified and streamlined his style of portraiture to focus on the unique character of each of his subjects. Spontaneous yet polished, his work can be characterised by being candid in nature.
His work has taken him on assignment from California to Mexico to Jerusalem. Aaron's clients range from institutes of higher learning such as Michigan State University to high profile clients such as Delta Airlines.

Remy Roman is a Michigan-based photographer driven by the craft of visual storytelling, working across still life, editorial, and commercial photography. His former clients include Shinola, Ford, Banza, and Detroit Bikes among others.
Remy has been obsessed with light and photography for well over a decade, developing his style wherever his shoots took him. From cow pastures at 4am, to a studio building light tents, Remy is driven by light and its ability to tell stories. His view of still life photography is let the subject lead, find the light that makes your subject speak and the elements that complement it.
Mountain top, studio, jungle, or a helicopter, regardless where his projects take him Remy is sure to find the story.

"My photography style is punchy, high-contrast and clean. My craft was perfected working as an art director at a local Detroit agency, and clients like Ford, Neiman Marcus, and Shinola have allowed me to refine my storytelling and compositing techniques.
My problem solving experience seems to be a lifelong kind of thing. Always driven to find solutions to problems, or alternatives when there were no problems. I take any opportunity afforded to explore new ideas, it's the drive that keeps me on top of my game.
