German photographer Bodo Mertoglu has focused on interior and people photography. Since 1988, Bodo has been working as a freelance photographer. He specialises in architecture and interiors and has a passion for vivid straightness, clear lines and forms. As a master of light, Bodo's work guarantees natural light, regardless of how and where he shoots - both in the studio and on location.

Bodo creates imagery for a diverse range of well-known interior brands such as Bulthaup and Gaggenau, and in recent years has worked abroad, particularly in Asia. More than a decade ago his curiosity to explore characters pushed him towards people photography. In this Showcase he presents his recent work in this field.

The light in Jessica Alice Hath's people photographs imitates natural sunlight in a very perceptive way. She intends to portray the impression of having incidentally  captured her images in the spur of the moment.

Across her architecture and interior photography, she intensifies the natural look to make the viewer feel part of the photograph.

Jessica works for clients and ad agencies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland focusing on people and interior images as well as luxury hotels and resorts.

Claus Morgenstern works out of his own studio based in Mannheim but mostly shoots on location.

His clients appreciate his relaxed, well thought out and flexible visual language that gives them the opportunity to handle a range of projects with the same photographer. Claus loves the diverse challenges that different assignments bring. In his eye, there is nothing that can not be photographed beautifully!

He works for clients in the industrial, people and corporate photography sectors, including Clouds Hamburg, SKE International, Sage One, a social campaign for the city of Worms, the new promotional photos for Skinny Lister, actor Max Kidd, and recently the mayor of Innsbruck, Mag.a Oppitz-Plörer.

Christoph Siegert photographed and filmed for an eye-catchingly unusual employer campaign from Postbank. Weigertpirouzwolf (WPW) from Hamburg were responsible for implementing the campaign, while Christoph relied on a gallery of young talents who do not conform to the usual stereotypes of the typical banker - instead they were as normal and complex as Postbank customers themselves.

Christoph also recently shot images for the Orlen Group, specifically in and around the Star cafes in petrol stations. These sunny, friendly locations were shown in a number of different aspects and were used as part of the company’s Web presence. Ad agency BBS and online agency deep blue accompanied the process. 

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of some of its municipal parks, the City of Hamburg held various events and launched a photo competition. Christoph was commisioned to take shots advertising these events and exploring the boundaries between green spaces and city life. He was also a member of the jury in conjunction with the Hamburg Office for the Environment and City Planning.

Kay Johannsen has worked on all sorts of subject matter over a 20-year career and there is nothing he prefers more than food. From his spacious 400 m² photo studio located near Stuttgart, equipped with a full kitchen, Kay is known for his impressive use of light and ability to tailor each shoot to the requirements of each individual client.

After finishing his studies he took a 35mm camera to explore India where he discovered his love for photography. wstudio Munich is located in Glockenbachviertel and was founded in 2002 - be sure to check the company's brand new website! The creative district has since further developed, with a constant stream of new places and restaurants.

The studio features a unique loft/workshop atmosphere lit by overhead windows, and has a drive-in concrete groundfloor. Its central location is one of the reasons the studio is often booked as a showroom and for press days. Attracting a wide range of commercial and editorial clients, the company also rents out Phase One IQ 180 with 645 or Mamiya RZ, Profoto flash equipment and HMIs.

Recent productions at wstudio include Audi, Hess Natur, BMW, 'The Terminal' motion picture, Otto Group, JANVIER BURGER & STASCH for Betten Rid, Luminosa Production for Peek & Cloppenburg, Starwatch and Bauer Verlag Hamburg, showrooms for Magnuson Eyewear and publicity rooms, press days and a shoot for classical celebrity Anne Sophie Mutter for The Edinburgh Festival.

Located in central Munich, Studio Lichthaus is a beautiful 260 m² space with gorgeous natural sunlight streaming through a bank of eight windows.
