Clayton Franklin eyewear meets the London rock scene.
Highly regarded eyewear designer and manufacturer Clayton Franklin from Japan commissioned Philip Gatward to shoot a campaign. "Clayton Franklin had seen the images from my previous collaboration with Glasseswebb, and asked us to get together again to shoot for them," says Philip.
"The luxurious design of the spectacles is also uber-hip and works well on the street. There is an exciting music scene in London, which Mo and Tim from Glasseswebb share a love of. We thought it would be perfect to team Clayton Franklin up with one of our favourite NYC proto-punk channelling London bands, The Voyeurs. The combination of the exquisite detailed frames and the honesty of the look of the guys worked so well we expanded the shoots to include other musicians and friends of the band."
The result? "Music to my eyes," said Mo.

"It’s been a busy month, I’ve shot a wide range of work from liquids to stop animation.
I was asked to shoot six unique front covers for Men's Health Synchronised Watch Magazine. In collaboration with Andreas Listrand, I’ve created a short animation of the Patek Phillipe. This was perfect for me as it involved placing a watch inside a liquid paint splash.
Paint was a running theme as I was also asked to create a Jackson Pollock-style backdrop for Venue and Events gift shoot.
I also had time to create the final instalment of my fruit burst series.
Stop animation was fun to do and rewarding. These shorts clips were for Nando’s to capture the ethos of the company."
