Produced by US based production company Iconclast, this environmentally themed commercial from the directing team Megaforce cleverly uses cross cutting to simultaneously tell the life stories of a fish and a plastic bag, from “birth” to when they finally meet in the ocean.

Working alongside DP Greig Fraser, Andy was tasked with photographing the underwater scenes at the Barcelona Aquarium, and in the sea just off the coast of the city. In the aquarium, Andy and his team had to share the space with a number of large sharks, which helped to keep them alert during the tough 10 hours the team spent underwater.

The underwater footage was captured on Andy’s RED Gemini camera and housing.

Degler Studio's history cannot be told without knowing the person behind the lens. 

Piotr Degler grew up in Spain, in the midst of a family of musicians and architects. Equally influenced by art and technology, and motivated by his love for the four wheels, he moved to Turin after graduation to study car design, ending up at Bertone. It is here, in one of the world’s meccas of car design, that he started merging his daily job as a designer with another of his passions, photography. 

It is precisely in the combination of photography and his expertise in car design where resides the added value of his images. Today, Piotr Degler is considered one of the most respected photographers in the industry, having worked for legendary names such as Maserati, Pininfarina and the everlasting Ferrari.

In 2016 he published his first book, 'Carros de Cuba'. Last year he published his new and awaited coffee table book 'Made in Italy', after more than 10 years in the making.

Showcasing here some of his last shoots, done just before summer. In first place, the Eccentrica Diablo, the ultimate Lamborghini Diablo restomod, photographed in Milan on location and in Turin in studio. Marc Mallafré is a versatile professional, serving as a creative director, art director, and concept artist. With an extensive career spanning over 25 years in the advertising industry, Marc has honed his expertise, particularly in the automotive sector. He also shares his knowledge as a professor of creativity and art direction at various universities in Barcelona.

While Marc has integrated AI tools into his daily workflow, notably Midjourney, it is his project, Carpocalypse, that fuels his newfound wellspring of inspiration. His distinctive visual universe revolves around three core themes: automotive, science fiction, and dystopia.
