The AOP Open Awards is the competition in which professional photographers, assistants, students and keen amateurs all compete on equal terms. For everyone who is passionate about photography, the Open Awards provide the perfect opportunity to gain recognition for their work. There are no categories or themes in the competition - its aim is simply to showcase outstanding individual images, whatever the style or subject matter, so the choice of work submitted is entirely up to the entrant.
The competition has been running for 13 years and in 2012 it received hundreds of images from around the world. As always, the standard of entries was exceptionally high.
