German photographer Bodo Mertoglu has focused on interior photography for over 25 years, since beginning his professional career as an apprentice with renowned interior studio Vogelsänger in Bielefeld and Munich.
Since 1988, Bodo has been working as a freelance photographer. He specialises in architecture and interiors and has a passion for vivid straightness, clear lines and forms. As a master of light, Bodo's work guarantees natural light, regardless of how and where he shoots - both in the studio and on location.
Bodo creates imagery for a diverse range of well-known interior brands such as Bulthaup and Gaggenau, and in recent years abroad, particularly Asia.
Christopher Barrett has been photographing the built environment in stills and motion for the last 20 years. His work has been published worldwide in various books, magazines and websites and his clients range from architects and interior designers to magazines and furniture manufacturers.
When asked about his work, Chris responded “I find this work extremely satisfying in that approaching architecture allows me to make images that are more refined, focused and thoughtful than I think any other subject matter would allow. When I tell people that I make four or maybe five pictures in a day, they think that we shoot dozens and have four or five keepers. Then I tell them that we actually shoot four or five and they’re all keepers, and the reaction always reflects the same amazement... I love that.”
As a photographer Douglas Sterling’s goal is to produce outstanding and aesthetically beautiful images. Gifted with synesthesia, he sees proportions, colour and light in a way that gives him visual sensations. With this gift Douglas has the unique ability to create images that have lyrical emotions and that are artistically composed and discriminating.
He lives happily in the Napa Valley with his wife, son and dog.
Signed and numbered copies of Frank Herfort's new book 'Imperial Pomp - Post Soviet High-Rise' are still available - one of the most exciting recent releases in architecture photography.
Frank has lived in Moscow for almost six years and delivers high-end interior and architecture images for international clients. His style doesn't only capture clean and pure architecture, he adds life by capturing people around the objects and filling his images full of light. All of his work is composed and lit but he never loses the spontaneous and authentic touch.
Frank is always curious to discover new interiors, spaces and environments. He is fluent in Russian and is currently working on projects in Shanghai and Singapore from where he will be available until July.
Recent publications and features include BBC, CNN, European Photography, Spiegel and Moscow News, as well as advertising, real estate and editorial for clients such as Fendi, Intercontinental Group, Russian Standart Vodka, numerous architects and international design studios, Wallpaper, AD, HOME, Les plus beaux Interieurs and IO Donna.
