"Well, Andrew Urban is a big fan of meat and cheese. Yes, Urban is his real last name, and no, he's not related to Keith Urban. He is a left-handed Aquarius who enjoys long walks on the beach as well as creating visually stimulating imagery for advertising and editorial purposes."
Omar Cruz is considered one of the most important portrait photographers among celebrities. He has worked with household names including President Obama, Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, Pitbull, Eva Longoria, Juanes, Shakira, Zoe Saldana, Sofia Vergara and Thalia, to name just a few. His career came up through the ranks during the 90s in Miami, with the boom of Latin music that allowed him to travel the world with his art.
His images have been featured in magazines such as Time, Vanity Fair, Vogue, GQ, People Magazine and People En Español to name a few. His photography accomplishes classic tones, sophisticated points of view, and a film treatment. Every piece of his work involves the viewer in such a way it brings them closer to his subject’s essence.
Guess what? He is now looking for an agent!
Jarmo Pohjaniemi was born in Finland before his family moved to Portugal when he was seven. It was there, amongst the chickens and cows of his family’s farm, that he first discovered photography. Barely more extravagant than a family portrait, nevertheless sparked passion for the immortality of a still image that only grew.
Jarmo headed to Paris where he was signed by the top fashion agency. Travelling for the next 15 years, he worked in Milan, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, London, Miami, Helsinki and many more. With every shutter click exposing him to the world of photography, his love of the art grew more and more.
He took a giant leap by calling up a Playboy photo editor to tell him “I can do this better.” There was a brief silence on the line until the editor sternly and calmly replied “shoot two girlfriends of yours, send me the film, and I’ll tell you how much you suck!” Jarmo took that as the chance of a lifetime, shot a couple hand-fulls of film that impressed the editor enough that the assignments kept rolling in.
Jarmo continues to shoot for Playboy, fashion and advertising clients, with countless publication covers, pictorials, ad campaigns from around the world to his name.
Contact Jarmo on 305 510 3938 or email him.

Magic City Farm still has its old Florida charm, but there's a brand new look.
The 1920s farmhouse, cottages and boathouse have changed their appearance and style. The farmhouse is now a dusty pink, the boathouse a teal blue, and the cottages are varied shades of off-white with much more simplicity. Porch floors are now white or stained with muted tones. Interiors have changed too and the lush tropical greenery has been trimmed back. The cottages have more open spaces around them, and appear to almost float in the landscape. New vintage outdoor furniture completes the scene.
The Little River still flows quietly along the property and there are more photographic opportunities with less busy backgrounds. The property is available for weekly stays, photo or film shoots, and special events.
In the heart of Coconut Grove, Miami, there is a modern location for print, film and television. It has clean white spaces with minimal furniture so clients can easily create their own set. There are white tile floors, white walls and white furniture with large windows admitting the sunlight. The kitchen is easily accessible and open. The bedroom features a kingsize bed. All dishes, flatware and furniture are available to use.
A tropical backyard with a pool and lush landscaping complete the perfect destination. Call 212.260.4300 for more information.
