Daniel Pinheiro
Sao Paulo - photographers
Daniel Pinheiro graduated in Environmental Law at PUC-RJ, focusing on sustainability and social welfare. His career in photography began by developing revealing photos of street dwellers in Rio de Janeiro.
Influenced by Walter Firmo, one of the most renowned Brazilian photographers, Daniel began emphasising spontaneity, blending colours with the emotional portrayal of people and the beauty of light. He applies this to his fashion photography, for which he found he had a special talent. “Walter taught me how to become a painter with the camera,” Daniel says.
Daniel has developed his skills working in the fields of portraiture, fashion, people, lifestyle, editorial and advertising, as well as with direct clients. In 2004, he exhibited a collection of personal work spanning five years in his first individual show 'Sonhação'. The theme focused on Brazil's traditional Folk Party, with images published as 'The Revolutionary Fashion View' in Key Magazine.
In 2006 Daniel began contributing to a number of magazines worldwide, including Vogue, Surface, Financial Times and Playboy. He currently focuses on advertising, architecture, corporate and documentary photography for commissioned clients such as Accor Hotels, Multiplus, Victoire Investments, Natura, Basico and Bernardes Arquitetura.
