Holloway London photographers

Born in Bahrain, Zena Holloway travelled the world working as a scuba instructor developing a passion for underwater photography as she went. Self-taught, Zena creates images that are striking, instinctive, and widely exhibited.

Her work has featured in Paris Match and The Sunday Times, whilst she has been commissioned by clients such as B&H (Leo Burnett, Mexico), Elle Style Awards, English National Opera, Rita Ora, The Royal Ballet, Kyle Minogue, Georg Jensen, Pepsi, Westfield, Speedo, Radox (Grey), Camay (Leo Burnett, Hong Kong), Rosemount Wine (RKCR/Y&R), Nike, Herbal Essences (Leo Burnett, London), Umbro, Olay (Saatchi & Saatchi NY), Jacuzzi (Y&R San Fran), Greenpeace (Saatchi & Saatchi, London) Dolland & Aitchison (DFGW) and Shangri-La (O&M, HongKong). Her recent show in Korea toured five major cities during 2015 and 2016.

“The water brings the magic,” says the London-based photographer. “Life is too real, and when you go underwater somehow reality disappears and you’re presented with something more interesting."

Zena’s work deviates from the stereotypical directness associated with underwater photography, as she strives to push the boundaries of her imagination and the limits of creativity. The result is truly magical imagery that has resulted in worldwide acclaim.

Zena lives on the outskirts of London with her husband and three young children in a converted MoD underground torpedo-testing centre.
