"I have been really busy recently. Just in the past couple of months, I have been working on the new Transport for London campaign, British Heart Foundation billboards, Blue Planet, Just Dance Tik Tok, Bloomsbury and headline book cover shoots, Haymans Gin, Ramsbury Gin…(good job, I love gin).
The Guardian's relaunch of their Saturday Magazine has filled the gaps in-between. This has become a very regular feature called Flashback, and it's such great fun. The concept is simple, the actual set builds and wardrobe are often incredibly complicated and technical. A celebrity gives us a childhood photograph of themselves, including perhaps a family member and we recreate the photo, with the celebrity as they are now, without retouching. The before and after shots are then pictured together. Often the photos are from the 70's and 80's.
Photographer Pal Hansen and I have had multiple utterly ridiculous conversations about getting it to work, and have been working with a wonderful array of celebrities. It's been going down a treat. I feel this is a long term project, but it's brilliant to have it in between my advertising work."
