8183 is a collaborative commercial studio that aims to make the process of creating powerful images of products and people a pleasure. With a keen eye, attention to detail, precision lighting and retouching techniques the studio helps stir emotions, tell stories and drive sales.
At 8183 Studio, the staff's ethos is as much a promise as a command. To deliver such undeniably captivating images requires not only the right focus and talents, but also the Midwest ethics of hard work and humble approachability.
These elements combined make the team very easy to work with - just ask recent clients including Lee Jeans, Dark Horse Distillery, Ball Jar, Parisi Coffee, Wingstop and McDonald's.
Al Richardson is a Sydney-based advertising photographer. His specialist areas include portraiture, food, still life and lifestyle.
Al's passion for his work, strong aesthetic and lighting skills allow him to consistently exceed client expectations both in studio and on location. His considerable experience includes work for clients including Woolworths, Westfield, David Jones, ToysRUs, Bonds, Sheridan, Slazenger, Westpac and Citibank.
Publishing clients include Random House, Allen and Unwin and regular work for magazine titles including Vogue Australia, Taste.com Magazine, Delicious, Fresh and Sunday Life.
Since 2006, Alistair Tutton has been an expert. After travelling around the US asking his clients the right questions, and listening to their answers, he can now produce outstanding images that really meet their needs.
Clients enjoy Alistair's English wit (yes, he's an English transplant, so be prepared for photography with irony) and the spontaneity of his work so much that they come back for more, from global ad agencies to local firms as well as regional and national companies.

"Neither photography or art has been part of my upbringing. Photography was something that came to me on a trip to Scotland. After returning home, the joy was fantastic when I finally saw the pictures. That became a milestone in my life.
While studying at the Media College Denmark in Viborg, I was surrounded by incredible inspiring teachers, who taught me the passion for the craft of photography. Care and respect for the image became my driving force during my four educational years.
The driving force remains the same today. It is still the craft, that makes beautiful images, where light and detail are what matters to me. Every day I let myself be inspired by talented photographers around the world, to seek new knowledge and to keep myself updated in the world of photography.
I am fortunate to work with competent people on assignments for customers like: LEGO, Lidl Denmark, Scandic-Hotels, Aller, Turbine Publisher, VPG, Tina Munkholm, Madhimlen, Aros Food Hall, Housedoctor, Arla og BKI-Foods."
Whether working in the 33,000 sq. ft. studio or travelling on location, creative collaboration behind the lens and throughout any production is one of the unique keys to Black Horse Studio. With Lee’s creative and technical expertise and Jennifer’s whimsical eye and love for all things beautiful, they are able to successfully tackle projects of different sizes and scale, but throughout it all keep a laid back and fun shooting environment.
Duncan Loughrey has been shooting food for the best part of 30 years. A keen eye for detail, great technical ability, and a knack for beautiful lighting have helped build a loyal list of clients over the decades.
Happy to shoot in the studio or on location, Duncan undertakes every project in a friendly, relaxed manner.
