“Late last year I had the honor of shooting Section 35's largest campaign to date.
The challenge was having only one day with our talent, Amber Midthunder, and shooting two concepts in very different locations. The first part was shot in studio, where our stylist, Monika Wiatrowska, built a living room set incorporating photographs and objects from the designer's family history.
The second concept was shot outdoors, in an industrial area, combining ideas of land, history and reclamation. In both instances for speed and efficiency we keep the lighting set up small, usually just one light augmenting the natural light of the environment, though as evening fell we were able to get a lot more dramatic. The shoot was used by Footlocker to launch the products in their stores and was published by Complex Magazine and Vogue for articles in each."
