Derin Thorpe is a New York City-based director and DoP. 

In these current times, his focus has been working on projects that help support environmental and social issues. Recent projects include NYNJ Baykeeper, an organization that advocates for fair environmental equality for our waterways, Faherty spring 2021 collection which focuses on restaurant entrepreneurs in NYC and how they’ve managed to navigate through a pandemic.

An on-going documentary film project Derin continues to reveal is The Point, a film set in Liberty State Park. This documentary revolves around a billionaire golf course owner who tries to take over a public bird sanctuary.
