Paralelo 60
Montevideo
Paralelo 60° is a new photo production company in South America based in Montevideo, Uruguay.
With eight years of production experience across commercials, TV shows and film, the company has worked together as freelancers since 2009.
Paralelo 60° is the parallel that marks the northern limit of the Atlantic Ocean and the Antarctic Treaty System. The latitudes south of this parallel are often referred to as the Screaming 60s due to the prevailing high-speed, westerly winds which can generate large waves in excess of 15m and peak wind speeds over 145 km/h. "This is the parallel you have to cross if you are going by boat to Antarctica, as we did in January 2014."
