"We love the idea that the most interesting things are still made by hand, by real people — not some big assembly line of computers and robots. As a personal project, we went and followed the family at Cape Cod Shipbuilding to learn how they still make classic sailboats, and have been for over 100 years.

I'm a story-teller, and for me that's always been about connecting to the people and places I photograph.

Listening and learning from them, that's where the authenticity comes from, along with my own personal growth as an artist."
