Lars Scharl
Bayreuth
Lars-Arne Scharl constantly looks for new challenges as a photographer. His origins lie in action sports photography, a field known for its versatility and beauty but also for its physical demands and often extreme shooting conditions.
Lars began his photographic career in 2006 and a year later won the 'Wettbewerb für Sportfotografie 2007', Germany's biggest competition for young sports photographers. He loves to spend his time in the wild, capturing action sports in natural environments when the light is best - even if that means spending hours in -20°C temperatures and then having about five minutes of great light to work with!
Recent photo trips have brought him to the Utah desert to cover the Red Bull Rampage for FREERIDE Magazine, around Europe on a 7000km summer road trip, and to the Arctic winter of northern Finland.
Recent clients include Red Bull, Kempa, iXS, DMR Bikes, Dartmoor Bikes and NS Bikes.
Since 2011, he has been a member of the f-stop Staff Pro team.
