still life photography & motion
Oct 2020
Barry Makariou's studio is fully equipped for film and stills. His creative team is working remotely and still providing the same level of service as usual.
He has has recently collaborated with G6 Moco providing motion control and promotion hire for the Phantom Flex to help create slow motion series of short films featuring espresso drop and iced frappa at 1000fps 4k.
Recent commissions have taken Barry to Munich to film product and models for The Browery who specialise in -you guessed it- eyebrows. This was shot on the latest addition to the studio, ZCam E4 12 bit 4k at 60 fps.
Other commissions for My Nice Nails, Rijo 42 coffee and Lisa Franklin Skincare showcase his experience in working with liquids, with moving image playing a large part in his portfolio.
He has built up a fantastic team of collaborators that can provide everything: from production, editing and grading, to wet hire, retouching and CGI.
Barry prides himself in offering an insight into what really goes on behind the scenes and is looking to make this a permanent series on his Instagram page with over 10k devoted followers to date.
Recent work includes Browery, Coca-Cola, Pepsi Max, Whitley Neil, ARARAT brandy, Chivas, Lisa Franklin, Peroni, Nike, Adidas, Rijo 42 coffee, Men's Health, GQ and David M Robinson.
Barry has been named amongst the top three still life photographers in the world by One Eyeland.
