As we adjust to the new normal, DC Studios @ Photogroup welcomed Christopher Robbins Photography for a two day fashion photo shoot. The spaciousness of Studio A was the perfect solution for social distancing. The 62’ x 32’ space allows crew to comfortably spread out and the hair and makeup station is in an open area, which is perfect for air circulation. His client viewed the photo shoot from the safety of her office via remote monitors. At the end of the day, Christopher found a nice place to relax in our quirky client lounge.

Other clients leave the large garage door open for air circulation. Masks are required and disinfectant is sprayed every two hours.

Photographer Cade Martin found a way to beat the Covid-19 shutdown: he is in the studio creating virtual portraits. Clients can remain safe in their homes while he captures beautiful portraits. Using a webcam and his Sony mirrorless camera, Cade shoots images projected onto the cyclorama wall in studio B at DC Studios @Photogroup. Sometimes he shoots the actual monitor as well, creating one of a kind, artistic portraits.

Studio B has a corner cyclorama wall that allows him to distort images on the curve. The windows in the studio have total black out shades as well, making the projections stronger against the white walls.

    Washington

DC Studios @Photogroup is the premier studio in the Washington D.C. / Baltimore area.

Studio A has drive-in capabilities, as featured in this Spotlight in the Toyota Teamsters photo shoot. Shot by Jonathan Timmes, he arranged 29 teamsters around a Toyota Tundra in studio and still had plenty of room for crew and lighting. He used the in-house scaffolding to get the perfect view.

Studio A is 62’x32’ and has 16.5’ ceilings, making it a perfect location for a car or truck photo shoot. Clients can view the shoot from above in the client loft lounge.

Studio A also has drive-in capabilities, 200 amp 3-phase 208V power with Cam-Lok connectors (plus additional Edison outlets throughout the studio) and clients can observe productions from above in the second floor client lounge. Both studios are available for still photography or video (this is not a sound stage).
