After working as an advertising photographer in various studios, Barry Soorenko found a beautiful old factory building and set about renovations to create a new location. That was 24 years ago, and DC Studios has retained its industrial aesthetic while adding modern elements, including polished concrete floors and a high-end kitchen. Studio A (62’x32”) has drive-in capabilities and clients can observe productions from the 2nd floor client lounge. Studio B (23’x37’) has a corner cyc. The studio hosts many notable photographers, including Miler Mobley, who photographed Michelle Obama for her autobiography, Patrick Demarchelier and Pari Dukovic. Offering Profoto lighting gear and grip equipment rentals, DC Studios also works with re-touchers and provides production services. All this with a solid network of local talent and modeling agencies, castings and shoots here are always great fun!
