Torfi is an Icelander at heart, American by birth and a Dane by choice. Torfi studied photography at the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara California. Following his graduation, he assisted many of the top ranking advertisement photographers in the US for a number of years, where they relied heavily on Torfi´s technical skill and hard working solution-oriented attitude.

Torfi landed his first US national advertising campaign in 2001 for Honda S2000 with Rubin Postaer and Associates in Los Angeles. Since then, his reputation as a skilful photographer with a focus on creative solutions has cemented him as one of the best in his field with vast experience ranging from large format film photography to CGI. Photographing projects around the world for countless clients, Torfi remains vigilant in the search for amazing imagery.
