Barbecue is the personal design studio of creative director Rüdiger Chmielus.

After being an editing freelancer since 1994, he developed and improved his skills in motion graphics and high end commercial post-production.

Being involved in former post-production companies he decided to start an own independent studio to create abstract designs and surreal worlds, giving room for creative experiments and excellent works. Being from Germany much of the work centres around cars. The range of clients cover brands like: Audi, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Porsche, Seat, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

Although there is a lot of Post-production work involved in the daily business, Barbecue can’t be compared or seen as a classic post-production company. For Rüdiger it is very important that every project is overseen and supervised by himself to guarantee quality and style. Therefore Barbecue has a mantra: We don’t do annoying rubbish.
