Meet Karsten Koch, the lens luminary who turns life's ordinary moments into extraordinary snapshots. With over two decades of passion for photography, he's still as captivated by the magic of capturing real emotions as he was on day one.
Karsten's talent isn't confined to stills; he seamlessly blends photography with cinematic flair. Take, for instance, his latest venture, the Licor 43 campaign with M&C Saatchi Berlin. From print to social media and TV, Karsten's lens brings stories to life across platforms.
In a world of fleeting images, Karsten's work stands out for its authenticity and depth. He doesn't just take pictures; he crafts visual narratives that resonate long after the shutter clicks. With Karsten, every moment is a story waiting to be told.

The merger of photo and film has been quite normal for Karsten Koch for years. Nowadays, however, more important than ever. Combining both style elements makes perfect sense for Karsten. In this way, he can easily serve the many different formats with your different requirements.
Efficiency is the goal when Karsten simply switches quickly between the camera systems, since the entire planning in terms of technology and light is directly coordinated with it. Karsten enjoys going even deeper, “The stories are simply told better.” Moving image with its possibilities through editing and music brings even more emotions into the image.
The "discovery" of customers and their products is an exciting journey for Karsten Koch. Whether it's about power supply and a campaign that is being produced in a large team parallel to the film: EON. Or for a medium-sized company from the logistics industry, where the vehicle fleet and the company are portrayed with the employees: PEMA. Or standing in the fields with a farmer in Serbia at sunrise: KWS. Up to the tourism industry, which would like to promote your hotel complex and the feeling of vacation during this time too: TUI.
In January Karsten Koch will be in South Africa for summer, with low numbers of infections and capacity for synergy effects.

"My pictures are about people, a story, and emotions. That's why my work can be used perfectly for my fellow human beings in addition to my job. I want to give something back, create added value. Be it on my assignments for Dein-Sternenkind, where I take the first and last photo of these children for their parents. Or for Hamami, which I have now accompanied to Cameroon for the second time to document the efforts of the doctors and to show a small portrait of the people in Cameroon.
As difficult as the pandemic will be for many, it will hopefully bring some good things with it. Be it our new willingness to help for our fellow human beings, or a reflection on the values that we may have forgotten in our fast everyday life.
The latest projects were for Hansano, TUI Robinson Club, Spardabank, and KWS Saat.

With his still images Karsten Koch tells stories. When the moving image is added, the story is deeper. Having worked in film for many years, Karsten now takes the medium for granted.
"I like to expand the story with the necessary film takes. It remains the same staging, broken down and just a little more complex. And then I have great fun selecting the emotional music to use. All of this completes the feeling while watching. It is a great medium to tell stories."
Recent projects include Joy Sportswear in Cape Town where Karsten produced a short in-store movie parallel to the current image. He also completed two personal projects.

The search for 'the genuine moment' took Karsten Koch and his team to various global locations over the past month.
The team worked for REWE Touristik Group shooting current images on location in Mallorca, before heading into the Alpenvorregion mountains for JOY Sportswear and location shots around Lake Kochel.
It was then off to South Africa to shoot a new campaign due for imminent release, along with personal work on the streets of Cape Town.
