James Parker
James creates imagery and visual material for brands, creative agencies and editorial magazines, themes across his work include, automotive’s, people, sport and technology.
Originally from Barnsley in Yorkshire, now based in London, UK. Photographic work has received awards and recognition from the Magnum foundation, Format, Brighton and Contact photo festivals, with features in the likes of Huck, BBC, Calvert Journal, Aint-Bad, FotoRoom and Fish Eye.
James studied photography at both Edinburgh Napier and Ryerson University in Toronto, going on to assist some of the worlds most renowned image makers and directors across the world. Occasionally James also teaches the subject to aspiring photographers.
Current clients Include: Sony, Google, Levc, Geely, Harrods, Amazon, Welcome to Yorkshire, Made.com, Jaguar Eagle, National Union of Miners, Arts Council England, Selfridges.
Ongoing work includes; portraits that respond to a computer algorithm, an environmental series following a group of ghost divers and a project looking at the amateur sport of Rally Cross.
