My work is centred on people-based stories from the food and drinks industry. From farm to fork, I photograph the love, attention and dedication shown by the farmers and growers, the producers and processors to the people who prepare and cook our food.
I grew up knowing a lot more about food and where it comes from than my kids ever will. Living next to a small farm, a garden with fruit trees and my father's allotment which provided what we ate that week, the issue we know today as ‘sustainable eating’ seemed pretty normal to me.
I have a particular interest in the environment, sustainability, the moral and ethical issues of food production and our attitude to and relationship with the food we eat. I am fascinated by the processes and people I photograph and always aim to produce work that feels natural and unobtrusive.
