Founded by Alex Martinengo in 2000, BLOB-LAB is a boutique retouching studio based in Brooklyn, NY specialising in creative, high-end photo retouching, post-production services and pre-production consulting.

BLOB-LAB is devoted to a small number of clients and is proud to specialise in fashion, advertising and celebrity portraits, retouching, creative composition and coloring.

Focused on the individual needs of each client, the studio offers personalised service in handling projects from international campaigns, editorial stories, photography books, albums and look books. 

Alex is also a photographer, partnered up with his best friend Amilcare Incalza. His extensive knowledge of lighting, black and white printing and all aspects of photographic production allows the preservation of photographic realism within the images, regardless of the complexity of the composition.
