"My name is Marek Bartoš, I live in Prague and I am a photographer. I love food and photography, so I have brought these two things together. This way, I have both my passions right at my fingertips every day. 

I work for private clients, magazines, restaurants and book publishers. I feel at home in the field, in the garden or in the kitchen. I love working with light and I believe that nothing can beat natural sunlight.

Marek Bartoš is a food photographer based in Prague. His love for food and photography has been guiding him since childhood. Even after all these years food is meaningful to him in many ways: it stirs passion and brings out hidden desires. It promises mysteries and exceptional experiences. Food is a question of status and of fashion. It is a political tool and a lifestyle. It is the most basic human need.

His job goes beyond taking photographs of finished meals. He has the chance to take photographs of the meals throughout the whole process. From fields and farms to food markets and restaurants.
