Horton-Stephens have been London's leading photographers' agents for longer than anyone can remember.

They are a sporty bunch, and accordingly love to get involved with the more athletic amongst their photographers - one of them lives for surfing, two of them are tough mudders and two run marathons at the drop of a hat. That might all be a bit ambitious for the relatively sedentary team back in the office, but they're always there in spirit, whether they are shooting for On Running, Finisterre, Fourth Element or Cotswold Outdoors or with such icons as Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso or players at Peckham FC!

Horton-Stephens is well-known for representing a world-class group of photographers, but moving image has become a bigger and bigger part of what the team do. Great production remains key to the success of all their shoots. They’re happy working alongside production provided by client or providing a full service. It goes without saying that they have an encyclopaedic knowledge of lighting, casting, locations (in the UK and worldwide), set building, timings, post-production, CGI and moving image - whether shooting TVCs or on the back of TVCs (a very particular challenge that they deal with often, where they only have moments to get the shot); they’ve done it all!

Michel Juvet, also known as Majicmiju, is a passionate photographer with a diverse portfolio, covering genres such as rock concerts, sports, fashion, beauty, street photography, and portraits.

In each shot, he aims to evoke emotion through unique moments, creative framing, and distinctive lighting. His work has been featured in Swiss and international magazines and has earned him accolades in various photography contests. Recently, he participated in two exhibitions in Geneva.

Majicmiju has a particular interest in capturing the emotions of extreme athletes. He gets up close during their exploits to seize rare, raw emotional moments. His photography has accompanied extreme skiers, wingsuiters, racing drivers, rowers, and deep-sea divers.

Jonathan Herre is a fun and energetic photographer with a clear thirst for adventure and appreciation of what it takes to get there. After a short stint assisting and shooting in Atlanta, where his photo career started, Jonathan moved to the mountains and deserts of the American West, focusing on shooting and documenting all aspects of the outdoor lifestyle.

Jonathan has a history of doing whatever it takes to 'get the shot' and has a portfolio to prove it. His knowledge of off-the-beaten path locations and his collaborative style set him apart from the rest, while his photojournalistic style and action sports background have prepared him for whatever arises on set.

When he is away from set, he is usually off-road somewhere, camping and documenting his life with his girlfriend and dog. He is looking for lakefront property near a mountain so he can get his snowboarding and paddling fix, all while documenting the outdoor lifestyle.

Michael Mueller is a dynamic sports photographer who specialises in capturing the intensity, energy and emotion of athletic moments. His work blends action with authentic storytelling, using natural light and raw environments to create powerful imagery that captures the spirit of sport.

Whether shooting in remote locations or conceptual advertising campaigns, Michael's adaptable approach allows him to work seamlessly in challenging conditions, always delivering striking imagery that connects with audiences.

He is based between Munich and Cape Town.

Recent clients include Adidas, Superdry, Dynafit, Powerbar and Lidl.

Matthew is an accomplished commercial and documentary photographer & director based in London, known for his moody, vibrant and immersive visuals.

His constructed reportage style blends elements of documentary storytelling with creative techniques, resulting in crisp, considered imagery. Matthew is effortlessly adept at translating his distinct visual style into motion as well.

FEMALE SUMO - Physically demanding and tactically straining, sumo is a nuanced and exciting sport. 

Male sumo wrestlers are held in the highest of regards, akin to rockstars. Females however are traditionally expected to play a supportive role; partner, wife, surrogate mother. 

This attitude is slowly changing. With more women taking part in the sport than ever, what was until recently was seen as strange hobby could soon become a professional sport for women, just as it is for their male counterparts.

Here are two projects from Jeff Ludes, showcasing two very different approaches! First up was a shoot for Honda and their first-ever electric SUV, the Prologue. Jeff’s team spent about a week in the San Francisco area, capturing the city, neighbourhoods, coastline, and redwoods. They even squeezed in a little video work, utilising the existing team, with Jeff taking on double duty as DP.

For something completely different, Jeff had the opportunity to team up with Gybow for a personal project, utilising their impressive revolving LED system. On the first day, Jeff and his team shot a model and captured HDRIs at a unique rooftop location. The next day, they moved into the studio, this time with the McLaren, where the Gybow was set up to envelop the vehicle in a perfect bubble of light and reflection. Check out the behind-the-scenes video in this feature. Once everything was captured, Mainworks brought it all together seamlessly and naturally, as always.

Another eventful European summer is coming to an end, and automotive photographer Anatol Gottfried delights us with an exciting new photo series.

In his latest projects, Anatol strikes the perfect balance between lifestyle and automotive photography.

On the stunning Canary island of Tenerife, he captured the brand new C3 Aircross for Citroën, highlighting its youthful energy and showcasing the vehicle in its natural setting. Featuring the same modern, blocky, and appealing styling cues as the new Citroën C3, the Aircross arrives as one of the few affordable small SUVs with seven-seat practicality.

For Toyota and its innovative mobility service provider, KINTO, Anatol created a vibrant series in and around Barcelona. The goal of the series was to visualise the freedom of an efficient vehicle without ownership costs.
