"It has always been all about the Moments for me. When I was little, I was gypsying around the world with my parents. When I was a little less little, I was a successful actor in Hollywood. It was all very exotic. My little sister, Soleil Moon Frye, joined me in front of the lens and she quickly became the darling of the 80s.
I eventually left acting to study literature and returned to Hollywood with an eye for storytelling. My sister and I directed a movie together. I gave in completely to the power of image making. I called on our milieu of famous friends to begin my portfolio and wove them into my varied projects. The celebrity work expanded into the music industry and eventually into advertising.
I've shot album covers for Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO, AKON, and Rihanna. I've been all over the country recently shooting for Mark Mothersbaugh, Lee Jeans, HTC, Jim Beam, Rolling Stone Magazine and Beats by Dre.
The composite picture I’m always taking is a life rich in images and films and memories. The Moments. I shoot the big and small, luminaries and lovelies all; I am always shooting, and it's never more complicated than the Moments."
David Westphal’s ability to translate brand stories into successful and impactful visual art has garnered him high praise amongst his clients. He is consistently called upon to create new imagery for vehicle launches due to his ability to successfully translate ideas into successful visual images.
This past autumn, David was commissioned by Team Detroit to create a campaign for the Ford Explorer based on the new brand direction. Experience was the central concept for this project, meaning a road trip from the Redwoods of Northern California, along the Oregon coast, and traversing the Columbia River. The final imagery translated to a truly epic experience.
David is sought after to shoot various projects around the United States and abroad as clients value his ability to create artful imagery.

Photographer/Director Scott Gilbert is hitting his stride, with extraordinary energy that has propelled him over the last 10 years into large-scale, award-winning automotive still shoots, and recently, commercials and promotional films.
Increasingly sought out for his ability to photograph people interacting with their cars, he fuses technically stunning automotive photography with a natural, human element that keeps audiences engaged. This fusion - along with portraiture and “people” without their cars - is the result of pushing the boundaries and an innate talent.
His first assignment was for Jeep in 2004 and Scott has since worked at bringing something extra to imagery, striving to introduce a visceral connection for the viewer. His studio training, along with the extensive experience on location has provided the technical tools to shoot “big shiny objects.”
But it’s the experience shooting editorial work that has given him his “voice” in combining a passion for photographing cars with narratives via people. In the process, his advertising work has developed an added layer of editorial energy.

Working in both editorial and advertising fields he describes his style and influence as "the modern example of the classic image, defined by beauty and light." Currently his work is focused on stills and motion capturing and defining the ideas of "real beauty" and "the visual link between subject and artist."
When not working on either coast, Chris likes to spend time attempting to go fast on two wheels.
