Diederik van Heyningen’s award-winning photography career has seen him create breath-taking imagery for top advertising clients around the world.
Not content with being put in a box, Diederik enjoys being able to shoot a wide variety of material. He is equally at home capturing cars and lifestyle in beautiful, remote locations, as he is creating stunning fashion and product campaigns in the studio.
Diederik’s collaborative approach has earned him a world class reputation from clients such as Mitsubishi, Dunlop, Intercontinental Hotels, MasterCard and Under Armour. His signature calm, methodical and under-control presence allows him to take demanding and complicated briefs and execute them effortlessly.
Han is a person who puts his signature on everything he does. He originally wanted to be a tree surgeon but kind of ‘fell-into’ photography. True, he always did like taking pictures, but he never thought that one day it would become his profession.
His passion for food and photography came together with Crisp Photography over 25 years ago. His strength lies in his creativity, transforming what is ordinary into something beautiful, funny or simply breath-taking. He is specialised in food and close-up studio shots and he produces crisp, fresh and colourful photos.
Crisp is more than the name of his company and his work, it is a description of Han himself. His pictures are diverse; some of them are soft and creamy while others are more forceful with aggressive colours.
Over the last few years he has tried to find more and more time to create personal work, such as still life, landscape and architectural objects like his latest series of bridges.
