San Francisco-based photographer Samantha Wolov (b. 1984) began her art career at the age of sixteen months when her mother would line the shower walls with paper and allow her to finger-paint murals in the bathtub, naked.  This love of art would eventually become a degree in Art History from American University in Washington, DC. The comfort with nudity would eventually become a brief-but-successful stint in erotic photography.

Samantha, a self-taught artist, now shoots fashion and beauty imagery for editorial clients like FantasticsMag, Glass Magazine, and San Francisco Magazine, among others.

She prefers a clean, elegant aesthetic with deliberate colour palettes as reference to the great artists she has studied in school, while maintaining a suggestion of just the slightest taste of subtle eroticism. Samantha sees herself as a "mad scientist" of sorts when developing stories, constantly drawing from the extensive visual vocabulary her unique background has afforded.

Zdenek Mlika’s devotion to photography started as a skateboarder in his birthplace Prague, Czech Republic. Photographing his fellow skateboarders inspired a lifelong passion for the art. After moving to California in 2003, he expanded from skateboarding and sports photography to advertising. His attention to detail is unrelenting, both behind the camera and in post production.  

Zdenek loves photography for its never-ending challenges, and will always strive to find new and inspired ways to showcase his subjects.

Steve Peixotto is an award-winning San Francisco-based photographer who has been shooting on location and in studio for advertising clients since 1998. His work is celebrated in the advertising section of the current Communication Arts Photography Annual.
