Pedro Aguilar is a London-based photographer specialized in advertising.
He was recently commissioned by international agency LOLA MullenLowe to create the colourful and appetizing campaign for Unilever’s Fruttare ice-cream featured in this Spotlight. The client was adamant about not using CGI elements in the visuals, so these “explosions of flavour” were created from photographic, high-speed captures of the real fruit and ingredients used in the manufacturing of the products.
Anders Beier is a commercial still life, beverage and food photographer. His images are minimalistic, graphic and textural and have a genuine pureness which allows the viewer to almost taste and feel the subject.
Anders' Nordic / Scandinavian background and connection to nature is shown in the colour pallets he uses. His work can be seen in advertising campaigns, cookbooks and editorial stories.
Anders has created two cookbooks, the first won 3rd place for 'Best in the World' at the Gourmand Cookbook Awards - Best Photography 2016. The second won the 'Special Award of the Jury' in 2017.
He is represented in the USA by Curated Artists and in Asia by Red Cactus.
Athena Constantinou is a passionate photographer, stylist, recipe developer, and storyteller. Her passion for photography and food styling made her choose her subject naturally; combining that with being a gifted recipe developer, she gradually became the professional she is today.
Athena has won praise and awards and was a 2016 semi-finalist at of one of the world’s most recognizable food photography competitions - the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year in the Marks and Spencer Food Adventures category.
As a recipe developer, she is in the process of creating her first cookbook, 'MERAKI | Cook it with passion', a 300-page feast with 120 recipes for some unique yet traditional and renowned Mediterranean dishes with a twist, created during endless hours spent in the kitchen and cooked with passion and presented with love.
Besides shooting the cover for a special issue of BEEF! magazine which was Calle Hackenberg‘s second BEEF! cover in a row, the young German photographer from Hamburg also produced two launch campaigns for the renowned traditional Swiss cheese company Emmentaler Switzerland.
Exploding sandwiches and cheeky ads for the take-away convenience product Emmentaler SmartSnack and in contrast to that the moody campaign for the Emmentaler URTYP with its centuries-old history that dates back to the year 1291, shot in a dark setting.
Furthermore, a new personal project by Calle explores the aesthetics of frozen food in ultra close-up, offering an unseen view of the products.

Recently there has been a seismic shift in how clients use images and so in turn I can proudly say that I provide film and stills, be it in the studio or on location. Dynamic content that is packed full of quality brand messages help my clients communicate the lifestyle choices they wish to convey with speed, focus and sometimes with a little wit.

"In this Spotlight, Tobias Reymond Foto | Film shares some of its latest studio-based work, as well developments in moving content. Autumn has arrived, and therefore we show some dark and exciting images. Really fresh colourful fruit in dark atmospheric lighting makes the images interesting, and great for packaging!
In addition, we had the honour of shooting the evolution of Heineken bottles for the Heineken Experience. The oldest bottles date back to 1900, and are usually shown in the Heineken museum, Amsterdam.
With social media and moving billboards coming up, we focus more on moving content. For this reason we’ve invested in a serious motion control rig, thus we're now able to realize repeatable and subtle movements. This allows for cost-sensitive productions and tag-ons. We shot a 25” TVC for Samsung kitchen appliances, all 16 takes shot in one day!
Our team consists of three professional and well trained photographers, a production manager and a designer / backdrop artist. We draw from a consistent group of the best food stylists and retouchers. We are preferred suppliers to Unilever, KLM and Ahold."
